Clinic for internet addicts

Fall city, Washington America's first fesidential treatment center for internet addiction has opened its doors. For $14500, ReSTART offers a 45-day program to help patients break their obsession with cyberspace. The center uses a cold turkey approach (no computers and mobile phones on site) and residents are thaught basic human skills such as comunicating with others.
"It's about helping people addicted to technology get throught the withdraawal and help their brains get wired back to normal, says therapist Hilarie Cash, the executive director of the center.












Space car VIsta, California


No, this is not a UFO or some Nasa spaceship prototype. It's a real car, called the Aptera 2e, and it could be coming to California's roads soon. The three - wheel, two-seat electric car's special design allows for maximum efficiency - it can go 160 km on a isnble overninght battery charge. Nearly 4000 people have already placed deposits for the car, which will cost between $25 000 and $40000.

Emma Watson, 10, who plays swotty Hermione in the Harry Potter movies, is also a brain in real life. The British actress now studying at the prestigious Brown University on Rhode Island, one of the oldest universities in the USA. The university is expensive but gives financial aid to those who need it. Still, as the new face of Burberry, that shouldn't be a problem for Watson, who could be the best-dressed student on campus.























Brad stops traffic


Brad Pitt has an unusual new job... slowing traffic in Siberia. A Russian newspaper reports that cardboard butouts of Pitt have been placed near the most dangerous intersections in the Siberian city of Omsk, in the hope that drivers will reduce their speed to get a good look at the star. "There are many dangerous spots in Omsk, but a shortage of policemen", said one local official. "We had to improvise".
